Photograph a Family Heirloom

December 16th, 2015
I found this really cool theme on http://improvephotography.com/11546/21-best-today-photo-ideas/

"We can all think of a few things from our childhood with priceless value. Think of that special family heirloom and all the memories that go with it. Think about the stories it would tell, if it could, and photograph that. The moment might be gone, but you can still make a photo that shares the often-retold story about this item. Your story might include a classic car that has traveled through the generations, a family bible that has brought peace, a rocking chair that supported a mother’s embrace, or a piano that endured countless hours of practice. No matter the story, it’s a part of who you are."

Post your shot & provide a short blurb on the story behind the heirloom!

365 THORA
Maayke @maaayke - My challenge for you is to take a picture inspired by your favorite movie, song or book.

Listening to music takes you down memory lane...

This was my grandmothers piece of "music". It was composed in about 1905, thus 110 years old. I never heard the music before and searched for it on Google tonight. What a surprise to hear it for the first time. Not my cup of tea, but it was a journey to listen to it. I place the links below.
