This was so so hard to judge from all the beautiful kitties. Loved them all. Well done everyone. I especially liked the light on the whiskers and fur and the clarity in the eye as well as the lovely bokeh on this one.
So @llindi you now have to carry on and choose the next word.
Check out the following link and alter it by adding your word
Does this change from time to time? I would have voted for the sunny cat as well - that's not why I am asking :) Just was wondering if there is a general rule on how the winner is picked or is it up to the person hosting the challenge?
@vera365 good question. I am new to the website and when I did it there was hardly any enteries by the looks of the tag so northy just choose me. So I continued not knowing the history and would image @shepherdmanswife followed my lead.
With regard to the challenge - I like the challenges with the vote, because I feel like it helps a lot to promote the challenge - even a lot of people who don't participate stop by and vote, and maybe think of participating next time. So, generally, it gets more publicity and potential participants this way.
Maybe we could make a new discussion thread for the bigger audience with this question - Whether to leave it with how the organiser might prefer doing it or setting a voting no matter how many entries are there. I think it would be nice to have a consistent rule - this way the organisers also will have clearer guidelines. What do you think?
I had a question - I remember for some f-word challenges there was a vote, like for this one: http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/26689/vote-f-word-filemot

I participated in the very early challenges (march 2015) and I believe the weekly f-word challenge was setup to have a quick turnaround (within the week) hence the person hosting has been choosing the winner since it started.
I wonder what others think?

Just an idea.
I would wait a couple of days, as Rob said.
