thanks to all who voted for my photo in Abstract-2. time to start up the new Abstract-3 challenge!
here's sarah's original description of the challenge:
'On this site we have lots of great abstract images. We have the mundane abstract challenge, but this ties the shots to a certain subject. I thought it might be fun to start a pure abstract challenge, with no limit to the subject.
In terms of rules I would suggest that
1. As far as possible the actual object is not immediately recognisable
2. The shot is taken within the time frame of the challenge
3. You can enter as many images as you like
4. As with other challenges the person who wins has the honour of hosting the next one.'
'Abstract photography is based on the photographers eye. We're looking to capture something in a way that it would not usually be seen. Looking for the details, the patterns, the lines, the form, shape and colors that complete a subject and utilizing those key features to make an engaging image.'
for this first challenge the shots must be taken between
December 5 and December 20. then I will choose finalists to be voted on. The winner gets the honor of hosting the next challenge!
please tag your shots: Abstract-3
please add your shots to this thread so others can enjoy and be inspired by them!

As defining abstract can be difficult I have added this link to introduce and develop your idea of what abstract photography is. https://petapixel.com/2017/03/20/introduction-abstract-photography/
