SO!~ Amy couldnt post this one up, so its my turn! :3
~~
Have you ever thought of how crazy it is that the people on this site, or photographers and artists in general can look at the same exact subject in such a different way? That we can find one object, yet the photographs that spawn from our imaginations of that exact same object are completely and totally different.
I propose a weekly challenge! Each week, on Friday, I will name an object that we all take a photo of. Then we post them on this thread and see how completely different each of us saw that object! (and of course suggestions for objects each week are COMPLETELY welcome!)
How about this week we do...*drumroll please*....a tree.
Put your creative caps on people...how can you make a tree CREATIVE??
Let's tag this week's can "objectchallenge-tree".
we just had a cyclone go through Australia, top end, and there so many poor trees that have been uprooted or snapped in half.. they are every where. :-(
@sallycheese You can add it to a different year... so say you started this project in 2011... when you are posting just choose a date in 2010 or 2009..
Oh man, you could end up with a ton of posts. This tree is near my office at work and has appeared in my project several times. I will share two iterations here:
@autumnseden yes!! I loved those tree photos. I still do! @nikkers thanks Nikki, I always wondered how to do that myself. I'd go the long way and upload to facebook, then post the html code on here.
Trees - what a choice. They are one of my all time favourite things to photograph. How do I only pick one?? Here's one I framed, so obviously it's one of my favourite trees. It's in an old rainforest with trees about 800 years old.
Do you have to upload a picture you took this week, or can you tag every shot of a tree you ever made? This is my first time entering this competition...
@lindaholder@28thyear
how to post : go to the page of the photo you wish to upload, scroll down to the "share" box and copy the link. come back to this page. paste it in the comment box at the bottom of the page and you're done!
Mine's not "creative", sorry! Haha. I took this today, before I even saw the object challenge, so maybe it was destiny (;

My contribution to the challenge ! Be kind as I'm only a beginner !
The way a tree looks to someone who's entire world is only 6" off the ground... like my Chihuahua, Ramsay.

These are all horses made of tree branches. I was in Branson last year and they were in the parking lot of Titanic.
