Lets fork up to the newest Black and White Challenge BW-78 Flatware

January 18th, 2023
I am very honored to have had my capture included in the most recent B&W challenge finalists let alone be chosen as a co-winner. Thank you so very much to all who took part in BW-77.
Black and white pictures might can be described as the backbone to photography itself. The learning to see and compose in contrast can really open up a many different levels of creativity and our visual story telling.
I have looked over the list of previous topics for the B&W challenge and decided to go with flatware (aka cutlery) or silverware be it metal, plastic, or even wooden. The flatware doesn’t need to be the primary focus of one’s post.
The challenge will run from January 18th to February 18th, all photos entered to be taken in this period.
Please tag your images with bw-78.

@kali66

FYI:

As nouns the difference between flatware and silverware is that flatware is (us) eating utensils; cutlery, such as forks, knives and spoons while silverware is anything made from silver. -- www.libertytabletop.com

Cutlery consists primarily of knives (literally, cutting implements), but as a generic term it includes knife-handled pieces such as carving forks and carving steels. Flatware means spoons and forks, pieces that are made flat and are then beaten or pressed into shape. --

@joysabin I have always heard "silverware" even when it isn't silver.

Just a little exploration on a gray overcast day while waiting for it to rain.
