Decided to try out photographing dominoes falling and found out just how hard it was. It would be interesting to see how everyone else would do this picture and even get ones advice how to better do it myself. Please take a picture of dominoes falling and post it here and if you can post info on how you accomplished it. It would be fun to see your pictures and learn from you as well. Here is my attempt below.
Info: Shutter speed of 1/6
F-stop 4.0
Used a 50 mm lens (my only available lens)
ISO of 250
@killerjackalope it is time consuming but its a challenge and those are always fun to overcome. Books work just as well. @meggageg@notliz adam's using books so you dont have to use dominoes if you dont have those. @mikichelle looking forward to seeing all of your guys' shots.
hmm maybe - I kinda just wanted to push him over... I think @icywarm 's idea might take! Push the kids over, could be the new craze to replace Planking - it's getting old here in Oz.
Back in Feb, I shot a slot car and couldn't believe how hard that was to shoot... and frustrating as you have a picture in your mind and you struggle to make it happen
this is sooo hard, but I am determined to get it right. I have been trying for about half an hour and every time I get them set up a tiny shake of the table or ground will take them all down.
@megc1 i had trouble getting the right picture without my finger. I finally said forget it and edited my finger out @kcphotography lol cow tipping does sound funny =P
It looks tricky and time consuming...
That wasn't funny was it?
Eh, I don't think I have dominoes anymore, but it does sound like a fun experiment. Maybe I will try with something else.
I did a falling dominoes shot today. It was quite hard to shoot!
How about playing cards ? That would be interesting too !
