2015 December 26: Even though our weather has been so warm that any suet I hang outdoors is rather soft, our Carolina wrens have been enjoying their meals at our suet feeders anyway. This little one didn't seem to mind at all having his beak covered in suet!
I live in S. Carolina and have never seen a Carolina wren! Of course our bird feeders are usually destroyed by the squirrels so I quit feeding them. I will have to pay attention if I do put the feed out.
