Taken yesterday before we decided to go out for the day but I finished the processing in the wee-small hours of this morning.
There's an alternative version in my extras album http://365project.org/dulciknit/on-the-day-extr/2012-08-11
I couldn't decide which one I preferred.

I wasn't happy with the crop on this, so deleted both shots, cropped and re-posted.
My apologies to Carole @cimes1 who had left a very kind comment on the original - which got deleted along with the shot.
@cimes1 I took a small chunk off the left hand side, Carole. It was bugging me - silly, I know. :-) Thank you so much for re-posting, I really appreciate it.
The cropping really makes this interesting - and I like what you've been doing with the processing. The softness of the color matched against the texture of the straw is quite nice.
Funny. I first saw this and thought it was so pretty and peachy. Then I looked at the other edit and wasn't sure which I preferred. Then I came back to this one and instead of looking peachy it seemed yellowy. Isn't that odd?
@m9f9l Thank you for your comments. :) Interesting. I think when you go come back from the sepia version - where to all intents and purposes there's no yellow, that lack highlights the yellow tones in this ( which I deliberately shot and then enhanced in the processing) . When I go from this one to the sepia, my eyes still see pink until they adjust.
