I spent a quiet day today aching after losing my footing on some rather uneven steps down to the Dutch Garden at Ascott yesterday. Fortunately I only sat down hard on some plants at the side of the steps but jarred myself rather and my muscles seized up overnight. Never mind, we should always look for the positive in any situation - at least the plants weren't cacti :-D
Happily, all the aches and pains had eased off by late afternoon and I decided to go into Aylesbury town centre after our evening meal for a little wander.
This is a view of Friar's Square. The building at back centre houses some of the county's administrative offices.

My first thought was how clean everything looks - then - you've shot this so we feel we're right there with you. Great detail and lighting. Glad you're feeling better - and yes, sure glad it wasn't cacti!
Ouch a cacti doesn't bear thinking about:0) It is years since I last in Aylesbury, even then it was only briefly. Looks lovely in the evening light, wonder if The Bell does a nice glass of rose?
Great lines in this shot and everything is so tidy! The planters fill with flowers are fabulous. Very nice shot. Glad you didn't hurt yourself too much.
@wordpixman - I'm so sorry, Arthur, I pressed the wrong button when I went to reply to your comment and deleted it. I do wish the two buttons weren't so close together, it's so embarrassing when that happens! :-(
Thank you for your concern. I'm glad you're healing and hope you're enjoying being able to get out and about again.
Pretty place to wander after an evening meal out. Lovely setting and I really like all the hanging plants. Sure glad all the aches are gone and that it wasn't more serious.
I missed this yesterday - sorry to hear about the accident but like you say, cacti would have been infinitely worse! I like the evening light in the photo, it looks calm and gentle.
Thank you for your concern. I'm glad you're healing and hope you're enjoying being able to get out and about again.
