Probably better on large view if you have a moment. Thank you.
I'd never heard of horse boarding before I went to the Thame Country show on Monday.
I decided on a whim to have a go at panning - not a particularly good subject to start with, far too unpredictable in terms of speed but what was the worst that could happen? A couple of hundred duff shots - that's life. This was the best one in terms of background blur.

Your message on the home page cuts out on the "I decided on a whim to". I hastily clicked on expecting to hear about your horse boarding not panning. Obviously brain out of action at the moment! This has caught the action well, good shot.
Panning is difficult - great first try! I've never heard of horse boarding, although I admit my mind was thinking "people getting on board a horse" ;-)
Well, I think it's nicely successful as far as the panning goes. I've never heard of this sport before. It looks like you need a bit of padding for when you inevitably come a cropper at some point. Must be fun while it lasts and quite and adrenalin buzz with all the horseying around. :)
I was thinking of going to the Thame Show except it was so cold here I didn't want to go anywhere! Great shot - I'd never heard of horse boarding either but I can see how this came about. (I guess you could board a horse, though it's not quite the same as boarding a plane or bus...)
@tooki Thank you, Tooki. Yes, his tow line is attached to the pony's saddle. I tried to burn it in a bit on-site with Picmonkey to make it show up better but can't get it to save. :(
Wow! I was there on Monday too. My family and all... Nearly froze to death. Nice capture. This was one of the better horse events they all seemed a bit boring. Great capture.
