I just love Doves. I know it is not a particularly rare bird and people here complaint that they mess up their solar panels...but I still love their song!

I hope it wised up and found a better spot, further away from the hawk. A Very nice shot -- I too think it's the eurasian collared dove, and not a mourning dove. I love how the details and color of the bird pop against the soft background.

@annepann @aikimomm Thank you - your are correct - it is :-) Thank you for the link. We also get the Mourning Dovesbut they tend to be even more skittish - thankfully so with the hawks popping in :-) Truthfully, I think the hawk is after song birds though. Thank you again - :-)
