7th January 2014

At last I made the trip up to Vauxhall to take my camera in to be fixed. Luckily it is still under guarantee although I am disappointed that it should fail after only 9-months of use. At least I have my trusty 50D as a back up.

We decided to walk across Vauxhall bridge to Victoria and for almost 3-hours there was sunshine… and storm clouds. Low tide was about 12.30pm and the Thames Barrier went up at 3.15pm today again (the record is 14-raises in one month in January 2003, so far it's been raised 11-times this month). The tide was really low exposing the pebble beach in front of the MI6 building. The tall tower reflected in the water on the left is Millbank Tower and if you look carefully you can see a man on the foreshore. I'm not sure what he was doing as he didn't have a metal detector, he looks quite lonely though.
This looks amazing viewed large. The light is excellent and really highlights the buildings. Fav!

This is a very cold light Emma - my favourite sort (to look at!). The river looks quite fast even though it's low tide
