My first training run of week 5 of the Couch 2 5km app. This was really challenging as it involves 3 sessions of solid running for 5 minutes with three minute breaks in between. I found this very difficult and having looked at the next two sessions of the week I have decided to stick with this session for at least 3-4 times to try and master the longer sessions before moving on. Having re-read about the app, the aim is to run 5kms in 30 minutes. I am not running the entire 5km but I’m only 49 seconds off 30 minutes so I am not doing too badly.
I really didn’t feel too good for the rest of the day… the sky this evening suggested the weather could be changing but I hope it holds for tomorrow as our friend Mike is coming over for the day and we are planning a trip to Hampton Court Palace.
