Every time Mum comes to Teddington she has to visit our range of charity shops and in Teddington we have a lot of those! Yet again Ian wimped out from coming with us and stayed at home to play his dulcimer! Actually I ended up buying a book and a small gift for Colin from the art shop that is closing down and Mum got a lovely White Stuff top in the Oxfam in Broad Street. We returned for lunch and later in the afternoon we walked over to Bushy Park. It was very hot so we were forced to stop for a cold drink in the Pheasantry Cafe before returning in good time as I have managed to sell one of Colin’s sets of golf clubs and the man was coming to collect them at 7:15.

Unfortunately he arrived a little late but was very nice and seemed happy with the set of clubs he was buying. After he had eventually left we had planned some time ago to drive to ‘Super Fish’ in Ewell. Ian remembered this from a previous visit a long time ago and had been looking forward to huss and chips. In the event they had actually run out of huss so we all went for cod and chips with a side of mushy peas. Somehow I managed to turn the chippy into a Greek restaurant by smashing my side plate by accident which certainly made everybody look up apart from this it was an excellent meal as ever and we were forced to finish up with dessert!
