24th December 2019

After yesterdays drive we enjoyed two walks today, the first for a stroll along to Newlyn, dropping by the Co-op on the way back (it had to be done!) and Hester managed to get hats for only £2 a piece and for some reason I felt it necessary to buy a bag of donuts! The sea was so calm, almost like a millpond

In the afternoon we went for my favourite walk all the way to Mousehole and back to see the Christmas lights. These et better each year and I particulate like the star-gazy pie. I had been hoping for hot chocolate but for some reason the shop had sold out so we had coffee instead. It really was a ‘dog fest’ and we met massive Star (not sure what breed she was) who is turn was meeting a tiny beagle puppy in a Christmas jumper.

We walked all the way back as well clocking up a neat 17,560 footsteps which was just as well as Hester cooked an amazing courgette and aubergine soufflé sort of dish for Christmas Eve dinner.
