3rd August 2019

This is the last day that Mum and Ian are here before they head off back to Cornwall tomorrow morning. This morning it was the 800th Park Run in Bushy Park and therefore I definitely had to go! My time it was not bad - well under 30 minutes and the atmosphere was great with lots of people in fancy dress. Here is the evidence of my completed run as I pose with the 800 balloons!

I celebrated completing the Bushy Park 800 run by picking up some teacakes along with my paper for the kids when I got home!! Despite me exhaustion, I knocked up a Victoria sponge cake for Colin’s return later today. After lunch we walked back down to Teddington Lock and along the tow path towards Kingston. I will admit my legs were little tired at this point so we broke our round trip back through Bushy Park with another ice cream at the recreation ground before heading back through the park across the route that I had been running a few hours earlier. My total footstep count for the day was 26,572.

I did a quick pasta meal with mozzarella and tomato this evening and Mum and Ian polished off the last of the wine. I've been tracking Colin’s flight during the day as potentially it could have been delayed but in the event I set off at about 10:30 PM to collect him, Chris and Mouse at about midnight. The plane arrived pretty much on time despite the delayed take-off and we got home and were in bed by 1:45am which was earlier than I had expected. Despite our late return Colin still managed a slice of my Victoria sponge!
