This morning it was present opening by Mum for her 76th birthday and a few hundred miles away Isabelle my niece was opening her 6th birthday presents! Mum seemed very pleased with her presents and everyone else presents arrived in time from around the country. I had made a lemon cake yesterday morning and used a ‘7’ candle along with 6 standard candles - didn’t want an inferno!
Later we walked up the hill to the Penzance sixth form and catering college where Mum had booked us all in for a birthday lunch. I have eaten there before and it really is an excellent place and with three courses for only £12 each, very good value as well. I had the Thai curried fish for main course and it was delicious.
