It’s Saturday - It’s Park Run day! Not a great time at 31.11 but at least I went. I cannot complain about my time as Wally - a popular park runner - completed his 500th run. He is 82, has had a double heart bypass operation and is currently being treated for pancreatic cancer. he was supported by lots of people wearing the stripes ‘where’s Wally?’ outfits with red bobble hats. At the end he went over the finish line under a raised arch created by friends and supporters. He is a nice man and laid on a lovely spread of cakes and glasses of Prosecco for whoever wished to join him to celebrate.
In the afternoon I popped down to Tescos and in the evening our friends Robert and Sue came over for drinks before we went out for dinner at Pizza Firenze. Another very good meal and as Robert and Sue did not leave until nearly 1.00am I think they had a good time as well.
