It’s Karen’s 41st birthday today so I made a lemon cake as requested. During the day I received a reminder about a competition entry form I had requested a few weeks ago. I spotted the competition at the Destinations Travel Show at the end of last month. It is organised by Inside Asia travel group which want to add three new routes to their current offerings. They are looking for three people to travel for 2-weeks on an itinerary put together by themselves and the company and report during the trip and afterwards. I rather fancied it as one of the options is a trip toMalaysia and Borneo. The form is a bit ‘airy fairy’ and relies on writing skills that are not my strongest point but I’ll have think - my deadline is tomorrow evening!
We headed over to Karen’s (with presents and cakes) later in the afternoon and as ever the SatNav seemed to take us all over South London with a journey of nearly two hours to travel some 22 miles. Karen seemed pleased with her presents and we headed out to a gastropub afterwards and despite still feeling rathe rubbish from my cold I really enjoyed the food.
