8th November 2020

Day 4 of lock down 2 (day 227 since the start of the 1st lock down)

Today we should have been travelling down to Mum’s to celebrate her birthday with her along with having made a lemon flavour birthday cake. As it is, as we are in the second lock down I am at home having sent parcels instead. It is also Isabelle’s 7th birthday - what a birthday present Sophie gave to Mum in 2013 - rather trumped Hester and my efforts for Mums 70th birthday.

We managed a FaceTime in the morning and Mum opened all of her presents live whilst poor Ian had to hold up the iPad the entire time so I could see the progress. Mum seemed pleased with al her presents and I think Hester and Sophie did well as well. I was keen to explain the New Zealand nest print that i had hoped to talk about in person and Mum couldn’t understand how I knew she liked Rosemary’s prints!

In the afternoon I emailed Michael Turner in hope he will agree to create and run a Christmas quiz for the photo club Christmas Awards and Social evening on the 10th of December and also emailed the cover images to Christiane for the two December editions of the TW magazine which will be featuring my two montages this year.

Later in the afternoon as it was cold, dark and wet outside I went for my first ever shopping experience at an online craft fair - the Country Living Christmas Fair. I had already been browsing and had some ideas what I wanted to buy and I was successful and found a few more items swell. At least I will have some original resents for people this year. It took well over 2-hours to put all my details and I will need to keep a close eye on what I have ordered and if it is delivered.
