2 years and 59 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020
Hooray - my camera is ready, I’ve paid the bill and we were off to Dunsfield airfield again to pick it up. I cannot quite believe it will have been repaired for £650 less than I had been quotes by the company in London. This time we knew the route bu the weather was so much colder than our last visit. I finally go too meet Wes, the man I had spoken too on the phone and my camera is all ready and indeed one of the parts the the other company told me had needed replacing had in fact not needed replacing. It feels good to have it back again and especially in time for our trip to Switzerland in less than two weeks time. It also saves me having to hire an expensive lens for the trip which would have added to the price.
We had lunch at the little cafe and it was so much colder than our last visit when we needed an umbrella to shade from the sun.
