26th May 2022

2 years and 60 days since the start of the 1st lock down in March 2020

A busy day today as we drove over to East Twickenham so I could drop off the card order to Arts Richmond at ETNA and then a quick card count in Richmond as there were are lines selling out fast that i want to restock for when we are away.

Then it was onto Kingston so I could return clothes to John Lewis and pick up some new jeans from Next.

The exciting part of the day was to come as my friend Sarah had managed to get me a ticket to the private view at her husband Patricks’ exhibition at the Chelsea Old Town Hall. It was touch and go whether I could go as there had been a bit of a mix up over the tickets (not due to me it turns out!).

I dressed as reasonably smart as I could with what actually fits and caught up with another friend waiting outside the hall as it did not open until 4.30pm. There was a great atmosphere in the area as it is also the Chelsea Flower show at the same time so the shop fronts are brilliantly decorated.

It was a lovely show but I don’t have spare money to spend so I window shopped instead - there was some lovely tiny dormice which I rather liked. I left at about 7.00ish with my friend and we made out way back to Waterloo together.
