14th December 2013

This is one of my favourite decorations.

It is a little china pot which only cost a few euros in Barcelona from a market by the cathedral when we were there for Christmas in 2005 with my Mum. Barcelona is one of my favourite cities in Europe and that year we rented an apartment in the Barri Gottic district and to wake up to bright sun on Christmas day was fantastic.

So every year our little pot comes out of the box and this year is filled with some stunning holly Colin gathered from the golf course, some bits from our Christmas tree and some mistletoe from Bushy Park.

'Bon Nadal' (Catalan for Happy Christmas)
Nice composition, and a nice holiday tradition story to go with it.

I love getting out old friends from the decoration boxes.

A lovely capture, Emma. How nice that you can just go and pick holly and mistletoe. I like the candle among the greenery. And i like the ornament--it's in line with your tree ornaments in that it has lovely memories attached to it. Bon Nadal to you and Colin too.
