It's the final days of my 365. My Aperture library is acting quirky, so I'm sorting through photos, deleting some, archiving others. This one speaks to me of Hurricane Katrina, of the dirty side of New Orleans, of the way things shouldn't be. Charity Hospital sits vacant six years after Katrina, with no new hospital even started yet. Charity Hospital was founded in 1736; this building opened in 1939.
It is amazing the long term affects of that storm. We have an abandoned hospital here in Edmonton to. It is always sad when this happens to hospitals considering how many people need help
Wow...great shot Diane. Sad that the hospital is still vacant after 6 years. Looking forward to your 365th shot. Hopefully you camera will not be acting up.
