Pristine

One of my daughter's friends gave me this camera, which his father purchased on July 4, 1983 (the receipt was in the box: $199.99). It is in pristine condition. My father had the same camera. I'm learning to use it, and I can't wait to have some photos developed.

My family thinks I'm nuts: you have to buy film, take it back to the photo store, pay to have it developed, then scan it.... What's wrong with your digital cameras??
Lol! I no longer shoot film, but can relate. There's something about picking up the developed film, the anticipation and excitement before flipping through them (or holding them up to the light even before getting them home to the camera projector). Have fun with it, my hubby was very glad when I switched to digital, the cost of film and developing was very hard on our budget. Now it's buying lenses that is so hard on the budget!

Wait till they see the difference film makes! I resurrected my film camera this year and have used it on and off when the budget has allowed. I know there are a lot of advantages to going digital and I've taken some of them. But there is still nothing like film in my book! Have fun experimenting!

That was a great camera in its time ....love your pov. You'll have some fun with that one, I'm sure. I really like film, btw. In many ways, I like it better than digital.

It looks wonderful Diane! I'm about to get my friend's dad's 1980's Olympus and can't wait to try it out! None of my friends understand my obsession either, but the wait is definitely worth it when you pick up the prints and see how they turned out. I'm just finishing up scanning my latest roll and its so exciting to see the results!
