High heat, low water

The Mississippi River sort of shimmering in the July heat. The water level is very low because of the lack of rain further north.

It does not look refreshing like a river of that size should.. I guess we all need the rain that's coming down in Europa..at least from the places I know like England, Germany Denmark..etc. they have no summer at all.

Great shot. It looks so still there. I picture lots of movement in the water on the Mississippi. You can tell its low.
