Hadacol was a tonic sold by the colorful Louisiana politician "Coozan" Dudley LeBlanc. It apparently did make people feel better--perhaps because it contained 12% alcohol as a "preservative."

Love the colors of this shot- really accents the signage. Isn't it funny how some products got their start in that way. Hydrox Cookies initially had hydrogen peroxide as one of the ingredients. Yeah, I don't think I want to give that to my children either!
