Yep, that is grass growing under the hull of the USS Kidd, a World War II ship museum on the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge. It rests on a dolly that rises and falls with the river levels; in normal river conditions, the ship floats. I've posted photos of it before, but the river is even lower now.
Even out of water, the USS Kidd is a neat place to visit. Growing up, our boys had birthday parties on board and one even spent the night.
