Another Hadacol Sign

Orange Grove Plantation Store, Louisiana

Hadacol was a tonic sold by "Coozan" Dudley LeBlanc, a colorful Louisiana politician who served various terms in the state legislature from 1924 until 1971. He campaigned in both French and English and worked to preserve the Cajun culture. Containing 12% alcohol as a "preservative," Hadacol sold well and made Coozan Dud a good bit of money.
