Preparing for All Saints Day by painting the tombs at St John's Cemetery, Plaquemine, Louisiana. To maintain these elaborate above-ground tombs, many families paint them every two years or so.
I think a small crop on the right would remove those ugly power lines without impacting the picture. This is a picture that tells the good story of people preserving memories of their loved ones.
This reminds me of the time when Jesus called the Pharisees "white washed tombs". When the dignitaries came to Jerusalem the same thing was done to the grave there. The outward looked so lovely in white, but inside there was nothing but death. It's a rather graphic idea! Great shot!!
Are they getting together with the people who own the pot next to them so they all look uniformly painted? it's a good idea.
