The first day of school in our county. We've had a long, hot summer trying to entertain grandchildren. Not complaining, so glad we have one living with us and two more nearby, but just sayin' it gets pretty hectic sometimes. Today I am sitting at home listening to the quiet, having a second cup of coffee and editing photos. Life is good.
Kudos to ALL bus drivers all around the world!! I would eat dirt before I would be a bus driver!!! I have NO patience for a group of more than 5 kids at a time!!!
I remember the first day of school when all 3 of mine were going at the same time!! Utter silence and I would dwell in it, the entire day!! LOL Then the second day I would miss them and the noise!! That first day though, that was heaven!! Love this shot and expression on the drivers face!!
Your thoughts remind me of an old Staples commercial where the parents of some sad-faced children are dancing through the store while Andy William's "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" is playing. LOL The balance is what makes the silence enjoyable. We take pleasure in it, but also in the laughter and noise those grandchildren produce as well. Good shot!
It's been so long ago. our grandchildren are all grown up, but I do remember those days well. now the house is too quiet at times. great idea to take a close up picture of a school bus.
