New Year's Eve: Christmas isn't over

In our house, we've been discussing when Christmas is "over." I tried explaining my idea of Advent, getting ready for Christmas, then enjoying the season itself. But to our granddaughter, Christmas is over when the presents have been unwrapped and the dinner eaten.

I think in the liturgical sense "Epiphany" is the last day of Christmas. Lovely altar!
