Joy and freedom

I love watching the birds on a windy day at the beach, enjoying the surf and wind currents.

Not the best shot, but I liked the simplicity of blue and white. Also, on the 10th day of the year, I am already behind so decided to fill in.

I think it is an amazing shot to catch him so well in flight. The simplicity of it both in color and composition makes it a FAV

I really like it. I've taken lots of photos of blue herons, and it's interesting to see how this ... egret? flies a bit differently... almost like he's just hanging there.
