Army green moth? by eudora

Army green moth?

The lady at the garden center said this is commonly called a hummingbird moth, but it might be an army green moth, or Daphnis nerii.

I never have the right camera! I was experimenting with a manual focus lens and didn't get it quite right. Shoulda taken my Sony....
I would tend to agree with you- the Hummingbird Moths I've seen are brownish with not many markings. I think you did really well with the focus. It looks clear to me. Beautiful moth!

I have taken a picture of a hummingbird moth and it didn’t look like this, also this is a beauty.

Great find. I think it is a Pandorus Sphinx- Eumorpha Pandorus.

So cool! Like the rest of your commenters — the hummingbird moths I’ve seen have been brown. I hope I see one of these one day!

Great capture! Don't think I've seen one of those. Focus looks great to me.
