The French Laundry restaurant is way out of my price range, but its kitchen garden is open to the public. Nice memories of Yountville, CA during this hot, isolated summer of 2020.
How funny that the garden was in California! When I first read your title I assumed it was in Louisiana somewhere.. After closer observation it’s very obvious that those are the hills of California in the background. Great light to this terrific shot of the garden.
@grammyn Thanks for your comments. Looking back at these photos, I'm struck by the beautiful light. And it was cool at night. In August! We loved northern California, but did not see how we could afford to live there. And then our son and his family moved.
@eudora My in-laws used to live in Napa and my father-in-law was fond of saying that it always cooled down at night there no matter how hot it got during the day.
The garden looks spectacular with all that lettuce and such growing there. Actually it always seems that the priciest places to live are on our coasts. I'm not sure why but that's the case here too. Nice shot.
