In Laplace, Louisiana, these people are luckier than some after Hurricane Ida. Their homes can be repaired. FEMA supplies the blue tarps as a temporary fix for damaged roofs.

@grammyn I knew this town had been badly damaged by Hurricane Ida, but it was sad to see in person how much damage there was. We were really lucky in Baton Rouge!
Wow- all I can think though is thankfully it's just a roof that was lost (and maybe some things from the upper floor). The yards and other parts of the houses look fairly descent. But then, maybe they've already cleaned most of it up. Good docu shot.
