When I first moved to Baton Rouge from Virginia, I didn't know how quickly things grow here. Someone gave me some cannas, which I shared with my neighbor, and pretty soon our beds were overrun with cannas. Same thing with wisteria; I bought one little plant and then fought to control it for the next 35 years!
