Elegy

This house in my neighborhood is vacant after the death of its owner. Some neighbors called her The Hoarder. Other neighbors offered to help her with her house and yard, but she always declined. Now the heirs are slowly cleaning out the house. Eventually it will be torn down and a big new house will replace it.

Whenever I see such an abandoned house, I close my eyes and see children playing on the porch. Everything passes!
