No Time for "Fowl" Play

Is this a goose!? It has a strange beak, so if you know what it is, please set me straight! He was clipping along with about 6 ducks in tow. I was wondering what the hurry was and turned around after taking the shot and realized someone had just left some food for the birds on the other side of the pond!

Beautiful capture....I saw some of these a couple weeks ago in Des Moines or at least they looked very similar with the big bump on their beak. I had no idea what they were either so glad to see Graham came up with the answer!
