“Life is getting up an hour early to live an hour more”.

I am often asked "is it difficult to get up so early for sunrise?" Yes, as a matter of fact, it can be lol...but then when I experience scenes like this, the tiredness fades into joy, peace, and thankfulness for the opportunity to experience such beauty. This was taken yesterday morning in Rocky Mountain National Park. When I arrived at this location well before sunrise, there were only a handful of cars in the parking lot and mostly early hikers. By the time I shot this scene and was making my way back down the mountain mid-morning, the parking lot was getting busy and people were making their way up the road and into the park. All I could think about were the moments I witnessed practically alone. The scene had definitely changed...but I was grateful to be able to experience and witness such beauty in solitude and to share it with others!
@taffy Thank you, Taffy, for your comments...definitely a dream come true for this scene. The handful of us shooting this spot couldn't believe we were seeing a painting before our eyes!
@taffy Would love for you to experience such raw beauty through my lens someday! This was a dream come true in every sense of the word and I still couldn't express it through my photography!
Overwhelming! When I regard your photos, I understand an old friend of mine, who emigrated from Germany to Canada. He's crazy about the Rockies, they must be superb. Fav
@redy4et Thank you so much, Elizabeth for your great comments!
@taffy @janepittenger @rosiekerr -- this could be on our list of potential visits ?
A beautiful area!
