First fire of Season

While it isn't that cold today, we have had rain all day and the house gets so damp inside that it feels colder than it is.
Nothing like a fire in the woodstove to make the house cozy and warm.

Harry is waiting for the weather to turn colder tomorrow ...he is itching to light our wood burner! We had it on a few weeks ago then the weather turner warmer but expected to be cold at the end of the week. yours is so welcoming!

Yep - we're the same here - l'm really lucky as my little bruv (he's 48!) produces briquettes on his farm, so we have a ready supply of eco-friendly wood fuel :-) Nothing to beat the home hearth and this is such a "warm" photo.
