So begins another cycle of waiting for babies. We moved this group in on the 2nd of November, and gave them their vaccinations on the 10th. Now they are ready to go once again.
Now comes the watching and waiting.
So good to be inside the barn & safe for you to keep an eye on. When we had sheep many years ago no one kept sheep inside to lamb...they used to have them later in the year so the weather was better. I can remember going out last thing with a torch & then bringing any that had lambed if needed...used to love it though hard work.. Farmers here all seem to bring their sheep inside now & so much better for everyone. We usually see the first lambs around Christmas time in the UK.
Love the sheep with the straw in it's mouth....I hope things go really well for you! Do you scan them Wendy?
@happypat We like to lamb in the barn because we can keep an eye on them so much easier. Things usually go well, but it is nice to be able to catch up babies and mom to give shots, and put them in lambing pen so they have time to bond,
Bruce and I have not ever scanned them yet, but are talking about doing it next time.
