I had noticed that Coco has not been herself lately. She has been very sore going up and down stairs, lost her already fussy appetite, smelling really bad, and generally not well.
So I brought her to the vet and it turns out she needed major surgery for a uterine infection. She is doing well, but it will take time for her to completely heal and return to normal. And, at 14 years of age, she may never get her back to her normal self.
This is an older photo, but wanted a record of today's event. (I had forgotten to bring my camera in the rush to get her to the vet).
Aww, poor baby. 14 is a grand age and she is such a looking beautiful dog, she has such lovely soft gentle looking eyes. I love her coat colours too - they remind me of my childhood dog, Jippy. I hope she recovers well, please give her lots of hugs and pats from me, fav.
Oh, thank you all for your best wishes. Coco is doing well, laying in the shade on the front lawn. She seems much more alert this afternoon, I think she will be fine.
