Barn of the Week

I made a quick trip to Ottawa today so decided to grab a barn photo on the way back.
Nicely done 😌

The black and white really makes the detail stand out.

I like the roofs on the barns - how they are shaped, I am guessing there must be some reason for them to be designed like that. Nice editing, brings out the detail - looks like sweet corn growing in the field?

@stephanies Canada gets a lot of snow so I imagine the barn roofs are designed to shed snow.
You are correct that the field is growing corn - except that it is feed corn for cows, not sweet corn for people!

Like the lines...the end of the field, the roof and tree lines. Like how the foreground adds so much interest because of the corn texture.

Great textures of the corn vs the barn siding/roof.
I grew up on a farm in Nebraska in the 50's. We always had corn for the cattle, and a couple of rows of sweet corn for us. Anyway, makes me think of the sweet fragrance of silage.
