The days are getting shorter, nights are cooler, and winter is fast approaching.
Farmers throughout Glengarry are putting up their winter piles of wood before the harvest begins or snow flies.
Obviously not SOOC - really liked the solarize effect from PS Elements 14. But for the life of me, could not figure out straighten with PS. Must haul out instruction book!
The straighten tool in elements 14 is really simple Wendy. Just click on your horizon and follow its line. The program does it fit you then. I love the colors of both barns here and their tired looks. I'd say they've arm a fair few winters in their time. The sky looks very dramatic too.

Nice shot and editing Wendy! This is how I straighten a picture, in "expert" mode, go to "image" second option down "transform", then "free transform" if you move the cursor to the corners you will get a double headed looped arrow, click and hold the left thing on your mouse and you can move the picture, then just press tick when you have it straight. The other options are fun to play around with too as you can straighten up images where the picture has distorted. There is another option in the "quick" section - go to the 6th picture image [just above the T] and click on that, your cursor will go into a cross shape then manually hold down the left hand side of your mouse and drag it how you want it change - I can't get on with this option though and prefer the first one. Hope this helps @farmreporter
Thank you, Stephanie. I really appreciate it when you give such detailed instructions - I am a person who needs step-by-step instructions and then I will remember it but can never figure it out on my own. Will give it a try.
I like the solarize effect. Well done.
I've also found Elements and Photoshop pretty opaque when it comes to basic image manipulation. But do keep at it....
