Thanksgiving Barn by farmreporter

Thanksgiving Barn

I am really looking forward to participating in @northy's new B&W challenge and, as such, have been doing some research on the subject.
I learned that contrast is your friend - and tried it out on this photo that was taken in colour but converted to B&W later.
I cannot use it for the challenge since it was not taken in the proper time frame. Oh well!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving/Columbus Day this past weekend.
Go back and shoot it again :) This is great as a b&w. Wish we had barns like this round us. Excellent! Fav :)

I agree with Paul! This would be a great place to shoot again for the challenge if you can. It looks wonderful in B&W.

@paul10 @claycameras Thanks for hanging in with me when life gets too busy for me to comment back! And - it's a great idea - but we have other barns that I can grab.

I'm sure you'll pick a great one! :)

Nice - I like the sort of fuzzy vertical lines of the corn and the more structured vertical lines of the barn. They would not be as obvious in colour.

Beautiful b/w study Wendy, love the shape of your barn roofs! The maize looks tall & ready for cutting. I do like some mono photos & as younsay it's all in the contrast.

Nice editing and what a nice shot with all the sweet corn crops growing beside the barn. When someone asks me to think of a country scene that features a barn, this is the kind of image I imagine in my mind.

Such good range of tones and brightness that really comes through in the b&w.
