The 17,000 college teachers of Ontario (Canada) are on strike.
This strike is affecting 50,000 students who are concerned about finishing their courses and school year. The strike began right as mid-term exams were about to start.
My daughter is one of those students. She is a mature student who works the night shift 40 hours a week so that she can attend college. She was told to keep up with her studies as best as she can but that is difficult when there is no teacher to give direction.
Not good timing, but then I suppose the purpose of a strike is to cause disruption. Just a pity it sometimes affects the wrong people. Hope your daughter manages to stay on top of her studies :)
