I had the opportunity to go out sight seeing with my sister while I was in Beautiful British Columbia for the last couple of weeks.
She took me to an old homestead located in Farwell Canyon along the Chilcotin River. What a gorgeous location ... just what I imagine Paradise to look like.
This is the view they had from inside their log home.
My get pushed challenge from Lynda @lynbonn was to capture the ordinary/every day in an extraordinary way.
I immediately thought of this when I saw this because I find that this actually looks like a picture on a wall and not the view from the doorway of the abandoned house. It just struck me as unusual and extraordinary!

Thank you for it - it was niggling in the back of my mind as I was out with my sister. It got my photo juices flowing once again and for that I thank you.
as you know, we're paired for get pushed this week... i've noticed that you tend to take most of your photos outside (always good to get out and about), and that you've mentioned some challenges associated with shorter days and gloomy light... so, for a challenge, how do you feel about experimenting with indoor light? use a candle, a flashlight, or even a cell phone / tablet to illuminate your subject...
let me know if that doesn't work for you... i do have a couple other ideas!

That is a great challenge for me. You are so right - I seldom experiment with indoor light.
