I will preface this commentary with "I LOVE roses!!" Unfortunately, the only roses recommended for my Zone 5 garden are the more hardy ones and while I enjoy them, I have always longed for the more traditional looking roses that can be purchased at a florist.
So this year I planted three English Hybrid Roses close to the deck - a Pretty Lady, a Fisherman's Friend, and a Grande Amore, I know they will need to be given winter protection and I will do that in order to have these beauties.
This is the first rose to bloom of the three plants.
This is the Pretty Lady - and she is really pretty!
