I sometimes wish that I could harvest all my crop of veggies over a longer period of time. I get enough tomatoes, and peas, and beans, and, and, and ... to last a full year in my garden. Unfortunately, it all comes at once so I have to process them all so that they do last a full year.
I have been giving tomatoes away, putting tomatoes in every sandwich but still end up canning the rest!
But I will not complain. It is better than the alternative which is having nothing to eat at all.
I will count my blessings ... even if it takes all day to process them!

Great idea, Vikki! we used to supply all the beans, carrots and potatoes for the Thanksgiving dinner when we lived in Alberta and time to donate once again here in Ontario!
We have customer at wotk who gives us his glut of tomatoes ( pronounced tom arr toes!) and courgettes ( zuchinni?) and they are do much tastier than shop bought ones!!

No - we do have to start them early though (under a grow light) and plant out the started plants. Our season is far too short to start them outdoors.
I think this is a lovely still life of the tomatoes. I like the painted tiles in the background and think they are a perfect homey background for the tomatoes.
they look delicious. the way you photographed them all together speaks to the abundance of the garden this time of year. sadly it all ends too quickly then back to not so lovely tomatoes.

Love the light on these beauties
